Barreto is the Weyerhaeuser Associate Professor of New Testament at Princeton Theological Seminary.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As a Baptist minister, he has pursued scholarship for the sake of the church, and he regularly writes for and teaches in faith communities around the country. He has also been a leader in the\u00a0Hispanic Theological Initiative\u00a0Consortium, a national, ecumenical, and inter-constitutional consortium comprised of some of the top seminaries, theological schools, and religion departments in the country.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>An alumnus of Princeton Seminary (M.Div. \u201904), he holds a Ph.D. in New Testament from\u00a0Emory University and a B.A. in religion, magna cum laude, from\u00a0Oklahoma Baptist University.\u00a0He has served on the faculty of Luther Seminary and as an adjunct professor at\u00a0Candler School of Theology and\u00a0McAfee School of Theology.<\/p>\n<p>Barreto is the author of\u00a0Ethnic Negotiations: The Function of Race and Ethnicity in Acts 16<em>, coauthor of\u00a0<\/em>New Proclamation, Year C 2013: Easter through Christ the King<em>, and the editor of\u00a0<\/em>Reading Theologically<em>.
